I ASKED THIS QUESTION ON ANOTHER FORUM, AND RECEIVED REPLY WHICH I WILL POST IN HERE FOR ALL TO READ. I WILL VERY MUCH APPRECIATE YOUR ANSWERS,

I just wondering, if you were living in Israel, and you knew of Iran's plans to wipe your country off the face of the earth , what would you do? Oh, may be you don't think that Iran is indeed have exactly those plans, no???

If I lived in Israel it would be in my best interest to make sure to keep the peace by example while keeping in my mind the history and struggle of my people to make sure my actions did not in any way bring on further attacks and harm to the new generation. If we as elders do not heal and set the standard we can only breed hate, misunderstanding and anger for the youth. The youth will have to deal with our decision made today, it would be in my best interest to know we are trying to make the right choices, we are able to give as much as we take, that we are teaching the new generation from our mistakes and putting in future plans and not just plans for a safe and peaceful existence.

If I lived in Israel I would also look at my part in a global context and stop just looking to my borders in a paranoid state, as I feel it is imperative for any nations to defend themselves WHEN attacked, the simple idea and thoughts that ‘someone wants to’ does not condone such violent actions. We can find enemies anywhere but making them should not be an art or goal. My soldiers where captured in a war as I have captured their men in war- how does the son of my country become more important than a son from theirs? Simply because we are Israel? I would make sure to form an understanding that all life as precious and not just those of my people above all others. In war we have causalities to think otherwise is childish.

I would not launch an attack simply because I think I can win, without talking to my people about the long term affect and conditions these actions can bring against them. If a country goes to war, it is the people that suffer in turn the country suffers. I would be careful not to make comment and judgement in moments of passion, in my home or in my country, this would be a most wise way to deal with any situation.

I would care for my people first, and not pass judgement so easily on others who do not subscribe to my beliefs and ways of life. Can a cat live next to a dog? Sure they can as a cat can live with a bird and still want to eat it… what I have in abundance I would share with others.

I would, in all honesty, defend my country and myself in a way that would aid. As I would want to live I would not expect my enemies to be any less armed than me. As I would have faith in God I would have faith in the laws and institutions that protect me and exhaust all options before taking on acts of violence.

I would also not forget the hardship I have inflicted on other people and nations around me, while I treat the Palestinian people with such contempt it would seem understandable why other nations would seek to use my actions against me to gain for themselves: who am I to say I should be the one to stop one nation for whipping out another when I seek to do the same.

I would also take great care to insure my place with United Nations and other conventions, and not just use them to my benefit when the time and situation called for it (like many countries do), I would rise to answer what is asked of me and take part in making peace and allowing my people to stand proud on actions taken and not always submitting to past transgressions taken against us as the only form of answer (this would go along with healing) and justification for my own.

If I lived in Israel and fear the bombs and attacks of men in the night sent to kill me, my sons and my husbands and brothers I would make sure to take a moment to reflect on how others in time of war must have felt or feel when my country has done onto them the same. A mother who looses a child should know no borders.

I would take great care to choose my countries allies wisely, I know where money and weapons come from, but our allies are also enemies of other states and this makes us a target so in my choices I also must accept the consequences. My country should be able to stand and walk on its own without constant support and in times of need we should not be so proud as to not ask for help.

If I lived in Israel I would know that my god is not their god, but not be righteous in my views, god has no place in politics.

My land I now build a home on was once theirs, I would take time to understand the displaced people, treat them with respect and teach others too as well.

I would acknowledge that my countries creation is a source of hate and anger to many; I would do what I could to make sure this image changed and hope that my country could one day lead by example and act and not just make demand and attack when they are not met.

I would look to my leaders for change in dialogue and negotiations, leaders that can lead and not just conquer.

I would not enlist my son in the army, I would not work in a factory that made shells for war that would kill, I would not donate and give my money to organization that use it for harm (and be aware of the double standard my leaders have when in contempt of other nations raising funds for the same reasons).

I would go to work, cook for my family, believe in my god and pray, kiss my children good night, sit with family and talk of many things. Be active in my community, educated myself, be thankful, raise my children with love or country community and all life, invest in them the qualities so they may make their own choices and decisions, how to care for a pet, read.

I would watch the sunset and know the same sun and moon means different things for everyone everywhere but it all sets over us the same.

My answer is really all over the place, im a person of many passions and they do not all come out in order. Sorry for that LG.
