אני לא יודעת כמה מכם מכירים אותה, אבל לאחרונה תפסה את תשומת לבי להקה קטנה בשם The Dresden Dolls. למעשה, זו לא בדיוק להקה: היא כוללת רק פסנתרית-סולנית (מעולה בשני התפקידים) ומתופף. הזוג עצמו מכנה את המוסיקה שהוא עושה "brechtian punk cabaret". נגיד... אני כנראה לא אוכל להגדיר אותה טוב יותר, וגם אין לי חשק לנסות. מה שאני כן יכולה לומר הוא שזו מוסיקה דרמטית, קודרת, מורכבת, ייחודית, מלאת רגש... נפלאה מכל הבחינות.
אז אין מסרים בדסמ"ם סמויים בשירים שלהם (למרות שיש מסרים פדופיליים ), אבל כן יש ליריקה מעניינת (מה שלא קורה הרבה, בלהקות שעושות מוסיקה טובה. צחוק הגורל) ואלבום הבכורה שלהם הוא אחד המרשימים ביותר ששמעתי כבר שנים.

המילים שאני מצרפת הן מילות השיר Girl Anachronism, שאת שמו נושא גם האלבום. מומלץ ביותר.

that the current state is critical
well it is the little things, for instance:
in the time it takes to break it she can make up ten excuses:
please excuse her for the day, its just the way the medication makes her...

i dont necessarily believe there is a cure for this

פעם הקשבתי ללהקה הזאת...אבל הרומן ביננו נגמר די מהר.... השתעממתי ויצאתי לחפש את טעמי המוזיקלי בשדות קצת פחות קופצניים.
ואם כבר להגיד אליה משהו במקום להשתמש בביטויים כמו מורכבת,קודרת ובמיוחד לא דרמטית הייתי בוחר "בפוסט אפוקליפטית".

לסיכום אני כנראה אשאיר את הלהקה הזאת לחובבי הפאנק שבניכם....ואני .....אני אחזור לגוטיק מטאל שלי.



או מישהו יודע למה לכל הרוחות הם מתכוונים כשהם משתמשים במילה "brechtian"?

האמת היא שכבר ראיתי את הקליפ, אבל איבדתי את הלינק, ואני מחפשת אותו כבר די הרבה זמן. תודה.

סוחף, עושה חשק לנגן בפסנתר
בכלל יש הרגשה של מחזה לכל אורך הדיסק..
גם אני אמליץ, גם לאוהביי המוזיקה היותר רגועה, זה דיסק ששווה שמיעה.
