explores the inner workings of two "polyamorous" relationships.

The first profiles ex-Rabbi Philip Shark, who lives on a farm in Sussex with seven wives. In 1999 after 17 years of monogamy, Philip left his first wife before receiving revelations from God, commanding him to become a polygamist. The second is that of Summer and Kestrel, whose duo became a trio after seven years, when they invited Lucy into their home in the Redwoods of California. The documentary reveals how different people adapt to sharing their partners, how they manage the sometimes tricky task of sharing their time, and how they cope with fitting into a society which does not support polygamy.
