According to legend, after being forced to recant his heliocentrist contention, Galileo muttered this phrase," and still it moves" under his breath.
Historically this has been adequately debunked and relegated to legend. Indeed one can only imagine what would have happened to him had he actually said this after recanting. And yet legend has its own truth and itself has become part of history.
The earth and its moon of course, are destined to continue to be connected to our star, whatever sunspots and storms and flares the sun throws out at us.
