there are wolves in the walls
she cried to the emptiness 
yet the emptiness did not reply

there are wolves in the walls
she whispered to the loneliness
but the loneliness only stood by..

she begged of the silence

but the silence just stood there and stared

there are wolves in the walls

she then told to herself

and listened to them growl

learning each wolf's voice and contour

there are wolves in the walls

she said firmly to the wolves

and they howled her name with satisfaction and delight.

and with a smile that burned reality

she lashed the wolfs from the wall

at the emptiness ,

at the loneliness,

at the silence.

and shouted one last time

there are wolves in the walls

and the wolves listened

to the leader of their pack.
