When your mind is wrapped in evil - exogenous evil cannot surprise you. I wonder if that's my mechanism, or pathology, rather.

Or is that just a rationalization for my own sin.

When you're in the evil for too long, you might not be caught with your pants down when faced with external evil - but you put your psyche at risk of being corrupted, terrorized.

Sometimes evil is a, well, necessary evil. Othertimes, it'll devour you from the inside.
