The rope is a medium
To express ourselves, our meaning
When we are together, mind and body are one
I don’t tie you just for the beauty
Or the pain, or even the experience
First and foremost, I tie you for us
Me and you as one
Connected, connecting, existing
In every thing

And when the rope tightens
And you commit to it and to me
The mind empties
At peace with everything
All worries quiet, disappearing
Inside and out
Now it’s just you and me

Our honest communication
We can talk about everything
To understand and accept
With the right outlook
We can express ourselves
Without fear
Without hiding
From ourselves or the world
Our confidence thrives
And we are able to just be as we are
In mind and body
As one
