Slate Magazine reports that “The Story of O,” the French BDSM classic written by Dominique Aury, has been released, once again, as a graphic novel.
The artist depicting O, the hapless fashion photographer who descends into sexual slavery, is the late Guido Crepax, famous for his “Valentina” line of erotic comics.
In a nod to capitalism, Slate provided a link to the graphic novel’s page on Amazon. I followed the link and then looked at what O buyers on the site also purchased.
As expected, it was mostly female submission fantasies (including one written under a pseudonym by Anne Rice), but there was a shocker.
And here it is: “Green Lantern: Secret Origin.”
That’s right. Apparently, there is an army of randy subs out there who have a fetish for one of the most boring superheroes of all time.
