Some general observations I’m made about the Israeli S&M scene:

1) There’s No Military Fetish:

Only once have I seen a BDSM-style military uniform in a club. As for a gas mask, no way, never – and yet everyone in this country has one! Obviously, this stuff is way too real for Israelis to carry over into the realm of sexual fantasy.

2) The Suit:

In the US, nearly every one who works in an office job wears a suit and tie. There is nothing special, nothing alternative, about these items. Yet, in this land of endless Casual Fridays, the suit is considered a fetish item (“ultra-formal”).
